Here Comes A Miracle!

I  have thought and prayed today for all the families in Oklahoma. I have felt a bit overwhelmed lately with things that have been happening around me. As often happens with me I de-stress by doing a bit of coloring. I chose this Saturated Canary image and decided to make her a 'grey haired granny! Like me she is sitting and waiting for a miracle from God ....or maybe she is realizing that the miracles are already here....she just hast to look for them. Meanwhile, I hope each of you will continue to pray for all in our nation who are hurting tonight.
My Song: Here Come's A Miracle
They followed Him on dusty roads
Wherever He would lead
Multitudes would gather
As He healed each disease
With eyes of wonder they would watch
As He would stop to pray
And when He spoke the word of faith
You could hear them say
Here comes a miracle
Here comes a miracle
Can't you feel it in the air?
That look is on His face
His glory is in this place
And I know a miracle is near
The lame could walk
The deaf could hear
Blinded eyes could see
And those who had been
Bound for years
Were suddenly set free
They came in desperation
The hurting and the poor
But when they saw Him
Through the crowd
They knew what was in store
And still today we follow Him
We claim His Word is true
And nothing is impossible
What He says He will do
And though this world may doubt us
And though they laugh and stare
Someday all men will see the Truth
When we see Him in the air!
God Bless Our Country!

O Happy Day!

I had forgotten how hard it is to photograph an easel card. This was a fun little birthday card using a Mo Manning Image. I love the happy look this little one has on her face. She just makes you smile. I went a bit crazy with the blue's but I think overall it is a cheery card. I have not had much time lately to craft, so I enjoyed siting and making this little easel card. I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song:
Oh happy day
Oh happy day
Oh happy happy day;
Oh happy day

When Jesus washed
Oh when he washed
When Jesus washed
He washed my sins away!

Elaine...this one's for you!

Since I did a card for my friend Amanda yesterday, I am doing one for sweet Elaine today! Elaine I am thinking of you and your Hal. I am sure he ran around at a fast pace (still is). But what are  moms supposed to do? LOL! We love our kids with all our hearts and we wouldn't change a thing about them. I hope you are having a great Monday and that you know you are loved.
My Song:
Well I never once, backed down from a punch
Well I'd take it square on the chin
And I found out fast a bully's just that
And you've got to stand up to him
So I didn't cry when I got a black eye
As bad as it hurt I just grinned
But when tough little boys grow up to be dads
They turn into be babies again
(Elaine, I hope you have heard this song and like me it makes you cry!)

Amanda....this one's for you!

 A closer look!

Every since I purchased this digi I have had the notion that it reminds me of my fun friend Amanda. She has the sweetest face (Amanda does) just like the image, I am sure she has long legs, and I know she has blond hair! But see that smile? It means that underneath that innocent look is a wild child. LOL....Ha! Amanda.....I got you. Amanda and I have some fun planned in our future with our dear friend Elaine. So, I will see if I am right! I wanted to keep this card simple as the bow is a bit overstated! I did add Stickles to make it sparkle and some pretty, sparkly rhinestones! the ribbon has tons of glitter and IRL is very pretty! Amanda I am thinking of you and still keeping you and your family in my prayers. Have a great Day!!!
My Song.....(But, really we are already friends!)
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
I seen you 'round for a long, long time, yeah
I remembered you when you drink my wine
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?
Why can't we be friends?

Fisher's of Men

A closer look!

The Sentiment!

I found this cute little guy on the internet as a freebie. He was so cute I just couldn't resist him. Today  I took some time and played and played. It felt so good as I have been to busy to play the last few weeks. It was a nice unwind and try and remember how to color! I added a bit of Spica pen to the polk-a-dots and his red trim on the sailor suit. I also added liquid glass to his cute little boots. My sentiment is new from Our Daily Bread. The gold buttons were in my stash.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
I hope you have a great week-end!
My Song:
I will make you fishers of men,
Fishers of men, fishers of men.
I will make you fishers of men,
If you follow Me.

Not Just one!

A closer look...

a look at the metal corner pieces...
One more look......
Good-morning! I hope all of you had a wonderful Mother's Day. I certainly enjoyed mine. Being a mom and grammy has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. I had a fun time making this card and I even used colors that are not 'normal' for me. I actually like it.
A fun challenge at ABC this week.....the challenge is "Not Just One" embellishment. We want to see at least three of your favorite embellishments. I chose ribbon, metal corners and rhinestone hearts and a bit of Stickles. LOL! I also added some liquid glass to the little boys glasses. You can just tell he really thinks this little miss is cute.  You can also add lace, flowers, die cuts, swirls, buttons.....come on this is an easy one! I used a blue card stock, and some lovely paper from a DCWV pad. It is storming here today, so I am having trouble getting a picture with enough light in it. this was such a fun card to put together. Our lovely sponsors this week are LOTV and The Stamp Fairy. What great prizes to win!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:
My Song: The Hollies
Just one look, that's all it took, yeah
Just one look, and I felt so I, I, I'm in love with you, oh oh
I found out how good it feels to have your love, oh oh
Say you will, will be mine forever and always, oh oh
Just one look and I knew that you were my only one, oh
I thought I was dreaming but I was wrong, yeah yeah yeah

Oh, but I'm gonna keep on scheming till I can make you
Make you my own!

Love Is In The Air

A look at the layers!
A closer look!

This posting has been a muddled mess for me. First I posted it on the wrong date, deleted it, but then had entered it into some challenges, before I deleted it, forgot which challenges....sorry ladies who tried to post a comment. Oh, dear....I hope they don't boot me to the door for this. Does anyone else make this type of mistake? Ughh...hate to be the only one. So, if this card looks familiar, it is, but shouldn't have been.
Anyway....if I haven't already spilled the beans, our challenge this week is "Love Is In The Air".  I think I will go and breath some of that air. If you can't tell I am a bit frazzled this week. We have been running to Dr.'s and hospitals for tests on my DH and then with the fire at our church (where I am secretary) I am trying to 'punt' with all the jobs that have to get done. Every time I have to go to the church I come home smelling like smoke. (ugh) So, I hope you will forgive me if my posts are a bit crazy. (That's what I am using for an excuse!) On to my card ... this little guy was one of my first Paper Shelter images years ago. I just love the cute look on his face. I decided to layer him up so IRL he has so much depth.  The bees and the flowers also pop at you. Because this image is so versatile I am going to use this card as a 'Mother's Day' card for a sweet lady at church. But our challenge this week at The Paper Shelter is "Love Is In The Air". Grab your favorite Paper Shelter image and play along.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: "That's Amore!
When the moon hits your eye
Like a big-a pizza pie
That's amore
When the world seems to shine
Like you've had too much wine
That's amore

Put Me In Coach!

My grandsons are playing ball. It is so fun to hear all about their games. I am even more excited to know that next year I will be able to watch all of them. This cut Mo Manning image brought so many memories of my son playing ball. The paper I have had for over 10 years, is that scary or what? I added a cute banner and a homemade baseball that I popped with a foam dot! I add a grass die cut and had my card completed.

My Song:
Well, beat the drum and hold the phone - the sun came out today!
We're born again, there's new grass on the field.
A-roundin' third, and headed for home, it's a brown-eyed handsome man;
Anyone can understand the way I feel.
Oh, put me in, Coach - I'm ready to play today;
Put me in, Coach - I'm ready to play today;
Look at me, I can be Centerfield.

A little More Mo...

 Another look at my card.
I don't know if  you have heard the news but Mo Manning is putting a DT call out. Now I have swore for years  ( in jest) that one day Mo will discover me. Seriously I love her fabulous images and always have such fun coloring her images. This little cutie is called Carolina  and I love here sweet expression! I have seen so many beautiful entries that am afraid this will be a tough one. But, I at least had to give it a try! How about you will I see you in the competition? I hope so. You can find the DT challenge here. Have fun, I know I did!

Happy Birthday Logan!

Yesterday was our youngest grandsons birthday. He turned a big whopping 6 years old. He is such a fun little guy and he loves computers and games. (Right up his Papa's alley). We have a silly dog that looks a bit like this  dog and Logan is always so sweet to her. So, I knew when I saw this darling Mo Manning image that it was the perfect one for Logan's birthday card. Happy Birthday Logan, we love you!
My Song: (Just so you know Grammy still rocks)
You say it's your birthday
It's my birthday too, yeah
They say it's your birthday
We're gonna have a good time
I'm glad it's your birthday
Happy birthday to you.

Happy May Day - Make It Sparkle

A closer look at the flowers!

A closer look at the image.

 Lots of sparkle!

A little change of the die cut!

A close look at the image
Happy May Day everyone!  I hope your month of May is starting off great. It is time for another great challenge at ABC Challenge Blog . This time  we are using the letter "M " and we want to Make It Sparkle.. Our lovely sponsors this time are The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop (don't they have a wonderful selection of pretties?) and  Tilda Town, where you can find all the lovely Magnolia Stamps, Dies and more! How great will it be to win the prize this week. Please read the rules as you don't want to be eliminated because of a rule infraction!  I colored my pretty little Tilda with Copics. I used a Spellbinders die, but I didn't use some wax paper with this one and my card stock ripped. Since I had already colored my image  I used some sharp scissors and  clipped  my die cut so it would work.  I chalked the edge for added interest. I added Stickles, rhinestones, and WOC flowers. This was a fun card to make and I love  all the sparkle. I hope you will join us with your fun sparkle. Check out my teammates lovely cards.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: I Can Only Imagine
I can only imagine what it will be like
When I walk by your side
I can only imagine what my eyes will see
When your face is before me
I can only imagine
I can only imagine
Surrounded by Your glory
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you Jesus?
Or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence?
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine
I can only imagine

Graduation Day

 A closer look.
 The inside of the card!

 A second card...
The envelope and a peek inside.

These are two cards that I was commissioned to make. Graduation is such an exciting time, but it is also a big change in a families life. It seems time passes all to quickly and our children grow up so fast. I hope each of you will cherish you time with your children. I know I do.
I went with the school colors for my cards. My first card I actually added a chain from the watch to the key, but I forgot  to take a picture after I added it....lol....I even decorated the outside of the envelopes. My images are SC . My Flowers are from WOC. I hope you have a wonderful week-end.

Our God Reigns

Today has been a hard day for me, for my church family and for our community. At 4:00 AM this morning it was discovered that our church (First Baptist) and Community Bible Church (just two blocks away) were both on fire. Someone or several someones broke in and trashed areas and then set the church on fire. It was a senseless, cowardly, evil, crime that broke the hearts of many in our community. We are typical small town America. Things like this just don't happen in our community, but it did. Tonight I am praying for the individual(s) who committed this crime. I can't imagine the hurt and darkness in their lives that would have led them to do something like this. I also pray for our community that God will be the healer and we will all draw  closer to His love.
My Song: Our God Reigns
That our God reigns over the heavens
Over the earth our God reigns
Praise His name all still standing
All that was, all that remains
Our God reigns
All that was, all that remains
Our God reigns, our God reigns
