What You Want...What You Get

My card with a Kenny K image.

 The inside of my card.

 A closer look!

One more look!
I have a friend that worked with me for over 25 years. She is single and always complaining out the men that are interested in dating her are "old". So when her birthday rolled around this year I had to make a card that would make her laugh! She loved it and it did make her laugh! I fussy cut the Kenny K image and die cut the dark background.  The sentiment is just something I generated on my computer.  All the dp came from my scrap box. Did I tell you that I gave a young friend two plastic bins full of scrap pieces. She was thrilled as she doesn't have much money for crafting and this will help her. I was blessed in knowing that all that lovely paper was not just sitting in my room. I hope your day is filled with blessings.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
My Song: ( Bobbie Darin) dream Lover
Every night I hope and pray
A dream lover will come my way
A girl to hold in my arms
And know the magic of her charms
'Cause I want a girl
To call my own
I wanna dream lover
So I don't have to dream alone
Dream lover, where are you?
With a love, oh, so true
And the hand that I can hold
To feel you near as I grow old
'Cause I want a girl
To call my own
I wanna dream lover
So I don't have to dream alone

Moosely Birthday Cards!

Two different cards with the same SU stamp.
 The inside of my card!

It seems as if I  am always in need of 'guy' cards. Recently I needed two and had little time to make them so these are the 'quick' cards I came up with. This stamp is one I have used often and is a quick make when I am pressed for time. The moose on the inside of the card is a rusty metal moose. Something a bit different but I thought it added to the card. I hope your week is filled with blessings!
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Hearts I leave Behind
I wanna find what others rarely find
conscience clean and peace of mind
life like a book I'm proud to sign
written on hearts I leave behind
I wanna roll on a road of my own design
you're fear and faith they're intertwined
hoping there's a finish line
within the hearts I leave behind
If God lets me choose where I go when I die
I'll lay my head down where love resides
and I'll never have to say goodbye
I'll live in the hearts I'll leave behind
I wanna leave a mark a permanent kind
and I was here that don't fade with time
a sacred place that's only mine
within the hearts I leave behind

Animal Magic!

 A closer look!
 A look at the puppy!
A look at the inside of my card!
I just love this image and the cute puppy. The Paper Shelter has a fun challenge for all of you who love your fur babies.  I chose this image because I love the happy puppy. Also, although it has been a very cold winter, I still see kids dressed in shorts. Brrr! I have to admit my bones are too old not to be bundled when it is cold! Anyway, I hope you will join us for this fun challenge called "Animal Magic". You just might win a fabulous prize and THE PAPER SHELTER has a variety of darling animal digi's that you will love using.
I had so much fun coloring this image as I am taking an on-line coloring class an I love, love, love what I am learning! I know I have a long way to go but practice makes perfect! Right?  This cute image is called "Not Exactly The Big Bad Wolf" and you can find it here! So grab a Paper Shelter Image and join in the fun! I can't wait to see your "Animal Magic"! The DP I used came from a stack that I bought over seven years ago....It was still pretty! LOL!
I am entering this car at the following challenges:
My Song: Hey There Little Red Riding Hood
Hey there little red riding hood
You sure are looking good
You're everything a big bad wolf could want

Go walking in these spooky old woods alone

The Keeper of The Stars

 A closer look!
 Anorther look at my card!
 The inside.
Happy Valentine's Day! I hope everyone is enjoying the day with someone you love. Our plans for the evening had to be cancelled as I came down with a horrid stomach virus. Not a fun way to spend  a romantic evening. So, I thought I would post this card that I had made. I am having fun with some of the new digital images from Ching-Chow Kuik.  I am still practicing my coloring with the Kit and Clowder classes but love all that practice. This image is one of my first colors while taking the skin and hair class. I think I had just started the skin coloring. I can see so many improvements I have made since coloring this and I will definitely have to do an 'after' with this image. I hope each of you have taken time today to let someone know you love them.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: The Keeper of the Stars
It was no accident me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew
Now I just can't believe you're in my life
Heaven's smilin' down on me
As I look at you tonight
I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doin'
When he joined these two hearts
I hold everything
When I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars

Happy Valentine's to my dear husband and Happy Birthday tomorrow!

For A Guy!

A closer look at the image
 The sentiment.
I needed a quick card for a friends grandson. He is an avid tennis player and she wanted the card to reflect his love for this sport. This is what I came up with. (The red an blue are his school colors!) A fun little card for a special friend.

My Song: Stand By Me
When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No, I won't be afraid
Oh, I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me
So darling, darling
Stand by me, oh stand by me
Oh stand, stand by me
Stand by me

Valentine's Card of A different Sort!

 A closer look.
 Punched hearts!
 Pretty accents!
 The inside of my card.
Can you believe we are already into February? It is time for another fun challenge at THE PAPER SHELTER! Our challenge this time is "Be My Valentine". I know this is not the usual Valentine's card, but there is a sweet young lady at church who is getting married on Valentine's Day and I wanted to make a special card for her. I love this sweet image called 'The Bride'. I wish you could see this car IRL as it is much prettier than the picture. (Really it is!) Just as a reminder . . . don't forget if you use a PAPER SHELTER image you can win $30 in product. All you have to do is play along with us and you might be the next big winner.
I had both something old and something new on this card. The open weave hearts are from an old MS punch. It actually broke and I got brave and took it apart and fixed it. I found a video on line that told me how to do it. The pretty little corner flower die cuts are a present I gave myself! The pearl roses I have had for over a year and just been waiting for the perfect card for them.  Paper lace, ribbon, and a circle sentiment finish off this "Valentine's Day" card.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: Chapel of Love
Woah! Spring is here and the sky is so very blue.
Wo-o-o-oah, birds all sing as if they knew,
today's the day we'll say, "I do,"
and we'll never be lonely anymore.
Because we're goin' to the chapel
and we're gonna get married,
goin' to the chapel
and we're gonna get married,
gee, I really love you
and we're gonna get married,
goin' to the chapel of love.

"C" Is for Cupid!

Love can be shown in many different ways. It may just be doing a mundane chore with a smile on your face, or reaching out to someone with a card just to brighten their day, or the traditional candy and flowers. What ever you do this month I challenge you to touch someone daily with a little love.
As you may have guessed it is time for another challenge at ABC Challenge and we are at the letter is "C" for Cupid! So show us your love. I can't wait to see what you come up with you can show love, romance, weddings, valentines or like me, you can choose something a wee bit different!  Our lovely sponsors are Marianne Design and Stamp and Create.
Please check out the lovely items they carry.
I am entering this card at the following challenges:

My Song: If That Isn't Love
He left the splendor of Heaven
Knowing His destiny
Was the lonely hill of Golgotha
There to lay down His life for me
And if that isn't love
Then the ocean is dry
There's no stars in the sky
And the little sparrows can't fly
Yeah, if that isn't love
Then Heaven's a myth
There's no feeling like this
If that isn't love
(It's got to be love)
